Have decided to sell my Jazz Custom cue. This cue is made by Jazz, a custom cue maker in the Philippines, and features a timeless classic Southwest style, beautiful dark grained Ebony wood with Maple Hi/Low points and those distinct Southwest style stitch rings. There are some unfortunate imperfections that prevent this cue from being truly flawless though. The cue unfortunately does not roll perfectly straight, not sure if going from the humid climate in the Philippines to the dry heat here was the cause or not but as you can see in the video, there is a slight roll to the butt (I just laid a bedsheet over a glass table so the roll might not be as pronounced on a pool table, not sure). The shafts however roll decently straight, but not perfectly straight either.
The second flaw with this cue is the bumper, it has a threaded Mezz bumper on the cue and I can not remove it, I don't feel comfortable trying too hard for fear of damaging the cue so I consider it permanently attached. If you are particular about changing the weights on your cue, unfortunately this cue is not the one for you.. But it does have threads in the Mezz bumper so it can accept an extension.
And also something to note, the joint protector of the butt of the cue has a hairline crack in the inside threads but it still goes on very tightly and securely, you can see it in the pictures above. The shaft I played the most with has a low tip and measures 12.1mm just beneath the ferrule and weighs in at 3.17oz. The shaft I played with only a couple of times to try out, measures 13.3mm just beneath the ferrule and weighs 3.80oz. As I said previously, these shafts don't roll perfectly straight, but the tips do stay down on both shafts when rolled, so I don't personally consider it a huge deal. The butt of the cue weighs in at 16.65oz which makes the cue weigh a total of 19.82oz with the 12.1mm shaft, and 20.45oz with the 13.3mm shaft. Also the cue is the standard length 58", 29"/29. As you can see from the photos, the cue looks fantastic aside from the flaws I mentioned, which is a shame considering how attractive the cue's design is and how solid it hits. The cue comes with the two shafts, custom made matching joint protectors for the shafts and butt, and also the leather 1x2 case as shown in the photos. Would make a seriously great player for someone who is okay with the few flaws this cue has. If you have any questions or if you would like any other pictures just shoot me a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible, thanks for looking!
