Pool Cue John Davis full-splice blank-Paul Drexler built (PFD Studio cues) New

  

°This beautiful full-spliced, 4-point pool cue HAS BEEN DISPLAYED, BUT NEVER PLAYED. Ebony into Cocobola, with razor-sharp laminated points around the Ebony in colors: black, purple, light blue, and maple. °The cue blank was made by John Davis, who took over making blanks (including many made for George Balabushka) from Burton Spain in 1970. He had been working with Spain for some time prior to taking over the operation.

This preceded the era of Gus Szamboti, the final blank maker for Balabushka. Sadly, John Davis passed in late 2018. But this has resulted in making the final batches of his full-splice butts more and more in demand. °The finished cue was masterfully built by Paul Drexler of PFD Studios (Custom Cue Maker). Check out the PFD Studios web site. Paul Drexler has been inducted into the International Cuemakers Hall of Fame (2020). °The cue is Modern Standard 58 in length, 19.0 oz with maple shaft.

Black Irish Linen wrapped grip. °Cue is DEAD STRAIGHT and ROCK SOLID. Absolutely no issues--joint seats perfectly.

°It comes with two custom-made shafts in pro taper: a solid Maple and a special Purple Heart shaft to provide virtually no deflection and a very firm hit. °Also included are custom wooden joint protectors for butt and shafts (see photos). The shaft protectors are "color coded" in a sense: the maple one for the maple shaft and a purple heart one for the purple heart shaft. The ring work includes black with a single silver ring on both butt and shafts. °As noted, this cue has been DISPLAYED proudly, but NEVER PLAYED. Tested only on a few strokes.

Tips shaped, but never chalked.
